Diagnosing Networking Problems

Networking problems can be caused by a number of reasons external to C21, and there are an infinite number of network configurations. Please be aware that we are not networking professionals, so our ability to assist with these types of issues is limited. If you are having network problems that affect C21, we will try our best to help you resolve the problem, but calling in your network administrator may be necessary. When you contact us, please provide the following information:

What Windows Version are you using?: 2000, XP Vista, or Windows 7
What Pervasive Version do you have? Pervasive Version 7.9, V10, V11, other(contact us)
Are you using a Workgroup or Client Server edition of Pervasive?

Please also answer the following questions:

1. Is this a new installation? If yes, then please contact us at support@c21accountingsoftware.com. If no, proceed to question 2.
2. Has this installation worked before? If yes, what has changed? If no, proceed to question 3.
3. Are you able to ping from the server to the workstation and vice-versa? If you do not know how to ping, click here for instructions.
4. Are you able to log into C21 on the server?
5. Do you have the permissions set up properly? The entire C21 folder should be shared with full control to all users of the program.
