Permission error when activating Pervasive Key

When activating the Pervasive license key on the server, you may receive a message stating that you must have administrative privileges. To resolve this issue:

1. Close all programs and restart the computer.
2. Open the Task Manager and check to make sure that the "Database Service Manager" or "PSQL Workgroup Engine" is not running. If you find any instances of it running, end the task(s).
3. Use Windows Explorer to navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Pervasive Software\PSQL\bin\w2dbsmgr.exe. Right click on the icon. Choose “Run as Administrator”. (Nothing will appear to have happened)
4. Within the same window, find C:\Program Files (x86)\Pervasive Software\PSQL\bin\guilcadm.exe. Right click on the icon. Choose “Run as Administrator”. (The license administrator window should appear)

When the license Administrator window pops up, enter the license key into the window and click “Activate”.
