Lost Company
If you cannot find your company data by selecting it from C21, check the ../C21/Data folder for the company you're missing. If you can see the company folder exists and that there is data inside, there may be a problem with the company's name.

Chances are that you recently renamed your company to a name that included a trailing period. i.e. "Small Company, Inc."

When a user changes a company name to include a trailing Period, Windows reads the '.' period as a designation for a file extension, and causes Windows programming to misunderstand the intent. The System/Company/Rename command program renames the folder but drops the trailing period. The company configuration file also gets renamed, but the trailing period there is included. This causes the file name and the folder name to be now (technically) different. If the .c21 file and the folder name do not match, the company will not be available for use and will not show in the pick list within the System/Company/Select option.

How to fix it:
Using Windows explorer, navigate to the C21 data directory (on the server if necessary). Search for the *..c21 file with the new company name (search using the Windows search utility if necessary). When the company file is located, rename the company file removing the extra period. The company data will now be available.
