Customize Tax Forms

When printing W2s, W3s, 1096s, and 1099s on pre-printed forms, some printers may cause alignment issues with your printouts. If you need to make adjustments to your printout, please follow the instructions below.
  1. On the C21 main menu, go to System and click Customize Reports and Forms.
  2. Go to Payroll/Print/W2s or W3s, depending on which form you would like to edit. If you are editing 1099s or 1096s, go to Payables/Print/1099s or 1096s.
  3. In the W2/W3 window, choose which form you would like to use in the form pull down menu.
  4. Click the Preview or Print Sample button.
  5. Modify the printed form using the Customize functions. You will see various lines that allow you to drag items where you need them to be. If you make a mistake, you can always close the form without saving and start again.
  6. If you are using the Print Sample form, you can save the form and name it whatever you desire.
  7. We recommend checking the alignment of the form by printing on plain paper and comparing the alignment with your preprinted forms before printing on the actual forms.
