System/Company/Convert

You can convert another computerzied company's data into 21st Century Accounting format. Use System/Company/Convert from if you have been doing your accounting with one of the accounting products supported by the 21st Century Accounting conversion program. Currently supported products are:

  • BPI Accounting Versions 4.0 and 5.0

Current Conversion Commands

System/Company/Convert/BPI Data (GL, AR, AP, OE, PR)

This command converts all BPI Accounting company data for which there is a corresponding application in 21st Century Accounting (including Payroll). Run this command to convert or reconvert a company when you are ready to start with freshly converted BPI Accounting data in 21st Century Accounting.

You cannot convert a BPI company into a 21st Century Accounting company that already exists. If you have already converted your BPI data and started data entry in 21st Century Accounting, the data entered in 21st Century Accounting will not be in the freshly converted BPI data.

DO NOT START DOING YOUR ACCOUNTING IN 21ST CENTURY ACCOUNTING UNTIL YOU ARE SATISFIED WITH THE CONVERSION FROM BPI ACCOUNTING.

The Convert Company Window

When you run a Convert from command, the system displays a "From/To" window where it inserts your choice for the company being converted and a default name for the converted company in 21st Century Accounting.

The conversion program will look for a BPIES directory, if one exists, on the drive where 21st Century Accounting is installed, and point the Conversion program there. If it does not find a BPIES directory on the 21st Century Accounting drive, it will look on drive C if that is a different drive. If it does not find a BPIES directory there, use the browser to indicate a drive and folder where you want to look for the company data you want to convert.
