Yes, however, do not just use the current software and specify the year to produce W-2 information, especially if filing electronically. C21 doesn't maintain the ability to produce old formats based on the year requested. It will only produce the file in the current format which likely will not be acceptable to SSA. Unless the files were deleted from the company data, follow these steps:
- Browse into the company folder and locate the necessary file. The file name would be W2REPORT_(year).FED.
Save or Copy it to a disk.
If you need to regenerate the file, reinstall the appropriate Tax Table. We support installing older tax tables and reinstalling the right files, etc. It is very important that no one is doing current payroll work while an old tax table is installed. After the necessary work is complete, reinstall the current Tax Table.
