Platforms supported by C21

In general, C21 follows the recommendation for all Windows users: when you buy computer hardware, get as much computing power as you can afford, especially as much memory as possible.

C21 itself has a relatively small "footprint" in terms of disk space and memory requirements, but the Windows support for any application is memory-intensive. The more memory your computer has, the more satisfied you will be with the performance of all your applications, including C21.

Networking performance also profits from additional memory on the computer you use as your Server.

If you already have C21, and are purchasing a new computer, then be aware that the following information is for version 12 of Actian PSQL, the database engine used by 21st Century Accounting. If you have a different version, check with us about hardware requirements.
