California DE 9C

Run Payroll/Print/California DE 9C to print an EDD-approved DE 9C, the California Quarterly Contribution Return and Report of Wages (Continuation).

You select the Payroll tax year and quarter for which to generate the data.  You can print the DE 9C for any current or past year and quarter at any time.

Fill in the DE 9C window with the appropriate Payroll data that is not already defaulted.


·      Print the DE 9C with the Print button. If you have purchased and installed the Tax Form Kit, you can print the EDD-approved DE 9C directly from this window.  Check the boxes that apply to your business.  Then click the Print button to print a DE 9C filled in with Payroll data and ready to submit to the state.

·      Preview the DE 9C with the Preview button.  Click the Preview button to display the DE 9C on the screen.  Click the printer icon print icon in the upper frame of the Preview frame to print the displayed report on the printer. 

·      Print a DE 9C report with the Summary button.  Check the boxes that apply to your business. Then print the DE 9C report with the Summary button.  If necessary for some reason, you can use the report to fill in a DE 9C Form by hand for submission to the state.

The DE 9C Form is ready to submit to the tax authority.

The California DE 9C program is provided on 21st Century Accounting21st Century Payroll Tax Updates, so the windows and the report meet current state requirements.  Refer to the state instructions for filling out and filing this form.
