·      Automatic Transfer to Adagio Ledger.  When you post Payroll transactions, 21st Century Payroll automatically transfers the general ledger account data to the Adagio Ledger database in the data path that you configured. You can also retransfer posted data at will.  You can then retrieve and post the Payroll batch in Adagio.
·      Timecards.  You use Payroll/Timecards to enter the data from employee Timecards for processing by Calculate Payroll.  You can enter hours worked, jobs or departments worked in, accrual hours taken – sick time for example -- and tips that your employees report.  You can also enter pay amounts -- expense reimbursements, savings plan payouts, and bonuses, for example.  You can use Timecards to distribute pay factors to as many G/L accounts as you wish.
Calculate Payroll will use information from the Timecards whose end date falls before or on the pay frequency end date.  Timecard distributions override any other methods for posting distributions.
·      Recurring Timecards.  Create and manage “templates” for a set of Recurring Timecards that you can then use over and over in the Timecards / Calculate Payroll / Print Payroll Register / Print Checks and post cycle.
·      Direct Deposit. If you purchased and installed 21st Century Payroll Direct Deposit, you'll be able to identify your Direct Deposit employees and enter their bank info.  Then complete your Payroll run for all employees, distribute Direct Deposit check stubs to Direct Deposit employees, distribute printed paychecks (if any) to non-Direct Deposit employees, and send the Direct Deposit file to your Direct Deposit processor to complete the procedure.

·      Manual Earnings Distribution.  You can distribute employee earnings to up to 10 general ledger accounts of your choice every pay period by percent of hours worked, by number of hours worked, or by amount of gross earnings.  If the company is configured to departmentalize pay factors by G/L account segment, and an employee's factors are configured to post to the employee's departments, the system distributes nonearnings factors to departments in the same proportions as you distribute earnings.
·      Departmentalize Payroll Expenses and Liabilities by G/L Account Segment.  Take advantage of the option to truly departmentalize if you want to automatically post each employee's Payroll expenses and liabilities, or expenses only, to accounts with segments that represent the employee's assigned departments or cost centers.
